James was a celebrated Jamaican poet, living in the UK. Winner of multiple awards including the Coretta Scott King Book Award and the Smarties Grand Prix, he was awarded an OBE by the Queen for services to poetry. He passed away in 2017.

Martina lives and works in Naples. She has illustrated many children's books and has exhibited in countless art shows around Europe. She also organises cultural events and shows for young people with the Kolibri Cultural Association.

Mehrdokht is an Iranian-born illustrator who has won the Children’s Africana Best Book Award and has been twice nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal. She was also one of the UK entrants for the prestigious Biennial of Illustration Bratislava Awards.
Mickaël is an acclaimed French-Moroccan children’s book illustrator who has published widely in France. A former computer graphic designer and 3D director, he now helps children travel the world through his illustrations.

Nansubuga was born in the United States to Ugandan parents and works in international development in East and Southern Africa. Her debut picture book Sleep Well, Siba and Saba was voted a Kirkus Best Picture Book of the Year.
Nnedi is a multi-award-winning author born in the United States to Nigerian parents. Her children's books have won the Macmillan Writers Prize for Africa, the Children's Africana Book Award and the Wole Soyinka Prize for African Literature.

A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, Poland, award-winning children’s book illustrator Paweł Pawlak has illustrated over 80 books and won international acclaim for his work.

Poonam is a British illustrator of Indian heritage with a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration. Her work has been shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal, longlisted for the Klaus Flugge Prize and nominated for the Ezra Jack Keats Award.
Raquel is an illustrator from the north of Spain. Her illustrations have received awards in children’s book fairs and exhibitions around the world including Portugal, Chile, Korea, China and the UAE.
Sandra was born in France and now lives in Australia. She attended art classes at Emily Carr University in Vancouver before embarking on her career as a children’s illustrator. She has been nominated for a Kate Greenaway Medal.
Sharanya is an award-winning poet and writer from India. Amongst her awards and accolades are the Lavanya Sankaran Fellowship, a 2012 ELLE Fiction Award, and nominations for the Pushcart Prize.
