This book has a wonderful mix of fun, humour, family, heritage and heart. It has a lovely message, told in an authentic and heart-warming way, showcasing Ugandan heritage. I love that the two sisters learn to dream big and look to the future, not the past.
What a delight of a book! It was so lovely to find this story- taking a positive spin on losing things which can be so difficult for small children. Also wonderful that it is a story of two Ugandan girls- like my daughter. I have already bought this book as a gift for three friends!
Great writing and gentle illustrations. The alliterative symphony of Sleep Well Siba & Saba is one of our favourites from powerhouse Lantana.
We love this book so much. The illustrations are so beautiful, and when we read it, it’s almost like we’re in a cradle swaying softly into a dream.
Aniya wants to say:
I like Siba and Saba. It’s interesting how they kept losing things and had a dream about something they really wanted and found it when they woke up!
