When the moon rises high and the stars twinkle, it is bedtime for the baby animals of the Indian forest. But tonight, when the skies turn dark and the night grows stormy, the little ones can’t sleep. SWISH-SWISH! CRACK-TRACK! FLASH-SNAP! goes the storm. Only Mama Elephant with her words of wisdom can reassure them. “You’re safe with me.”

“A perfect bedtime picture book. A sleep-time staple for toddlers”

-The Guardian

“This beautiful bedtime book is a feast for the eyes and a warm, cosy blanket for the imagination. I felt as though I had been sung a lullaby while being given a huge hug”

-Tales on Moon Lane

“British-Indian writer Chitra Soundar addresses children’s universal concerns with reassurance. Yet this original tale’s most memorable traits are the whorls and lines of Mistry’s frankly mesmerising illustrations. You’re Safe With Me certainly stands out among the simple, brightly coloured drawings that are hallmarks of the genre”

-Cambridge Evening News, 5 STARS

“This really is a dazzling book, soothing for bedtimes but with really amazing artwork that twinkles just like the night sky. Wow”

-Read It Daddy

“It is a book that shouts out to be shared and read aloud - an ideal book for bedtime and one that children and their parents will want to return to again and again”

-Annie Everall OBE

“You’re Safe With Me is the most beautifully illustrated, warm tale that we’ve come across in a long time. The gentle lilt to the narrative, the dialogue from the animals, and Mama Elephant’s comforting refrain make this a wonderfully gentle and reassuring bedtime tale. And then. There are Poonam Mistry’s illustrations. Glory me! They are a sumptuous delight to behold. Each page is richly illustrated with delicate patterning featuring the animals from the forest – truly stunning!”
