Illustrator Poonam Mistry is shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal for the second year in a row with her work for You’re Snug With Me, written by Chitra Soundar, published by Lantana.
Julia Hale, Chair of the judging panel, notes how the shortlists offer a positive response to young people’s concerns, “by displaying the awesome beauty of the natural world, human determination and courage, kindness and support which were frequent touchstones throughout these remarkable books”.
